Why You Should Sign Up for Amazon Prime Before Black Friday Hits

Simple. Thrifty. Living.

Black Friday is becoming a big deal for online retailers when it comes to scoring deals on your gifts for the holidays. Online retailers are offering amazing deals on some of the hottest gifts of the season, and one of the biggest of those retails is Amazon. They have the widest range of gifts to choose from and are planning some crazy deals for this Black Friday and Cyber Monday. The best way to take advantage of these deals is to become an Amazon Prime member, especially since they offer a 30-day free trial. Here’s why:

Becoming an Amazon Prime member is the equivalent to waking up super early and being the first in line on Black Friday. Amazon Prime member will have access to Amazon’s Lightning Deals, which are time-sensitive deals the site offers, a half hour before nonmembers on both Black Friday and Cyber Monday. That means, if you are an Amazon Prime member, you can access all the best deals Amazon has to offer before anyone else, which can be a huge benefit when going after the best bargains.

While other online retailers will be backed up with a ton of orders for the holiday, Amazon guarantees two-day shipping to Amazon Prime members on many of the products it sells. While the delivery fate of other online orders can be stuck in limbo up until Christmas day, Amazon does a great job of tracking your order and making sure it is getting to you on time. You also have the benefit of choosing one-day shipping on many orders for a discounted price, which can be convenient for last-minute gift orders.

Amazon has deals on some of the same stock that the big box stores are selling on Black Friday, and you don’t have to go running around to a bunch of different stores to get them. Since Amazon stocks some of the biggest brands in electronics, clothing, home goods, gadgets and more, you can easily buy for your whole gift list without ever having to set foot in the store. The biggest deals Amazon will be offering on Cyber Monday will be in the electronics department, so make sure you check their first.

Let’s be real, the Black Friday crowds are getting out of control. By shopping online, you can avoid all of those crazy people and huge crowds and shop from the comfort of your own home. Amazon is also offering Black Friday deals on Thanksgiving, but unlike physical stores, you don’t have to leave the Thanksgiving festivities in order to buy your holiday gifts. Just log on between dinner and dessert and pick up all of your holiday gifts without even having to leave the table.
