With the introduction of new technology like Apple Pay and Square, many are trumpeting the coming death of other forms of payment, like cash and credit cards. But are people actually using this new technology?

We surveyed 8,000 of our readers to find out who is using mobile payments and which payment options are the most popular. Here is what we found:

Keep in mind that mobile payments were the same way as using a credit card. Mobile payments do not directly affect your credit score, like credit card payments, or raise your credit score like credit repair companies might be able to do. And mobile payments are not available for things like online loans or investment accounts.
