Simple. Thrifty. Living.

Credit Saint is a solid service that offers options to fit the needs of its customers. Although it is not one of the most well-known names in credit repair, Credit Saint tries hard to establish itself among the best credit repair companies. Its pricing is competitive, its services are extensive and it offers a 90-day money-back guarantee, which we are seeing more of from serious credit repair firms. Overall, Credit Saint is a legitimate credit repair company with great service and solid options for everyone.

What Does Credit Saint Do?

In short, Credit Saint disputes negative items on your credit reports. That’s not all it does, but that is the base of their basic service. Credit Saint has three tiers of service that give you options to find the right credit repair for you. Here is a breakdown of each tier and what it offers:

Credit Polish: This is the basic package, which also means it is the least expensive. This package gets you access to a Credit Saint online account, toll-free customer service, and a moderate amount of disputes of the following negative items on your credit reports:

  • Late payments
  • Identity thefts
  • Charge-offs
  • Collections

Credit Remodel: The middle package offers everything that the basic package includes, but at a more aggressive pace. It also includes escalated information requests, as well as disputes of additional negative items including:

  • Bankruptcies
  • Repossessions

Clean Slate: This is the most aggressive package that Credit Saint offers. It disputes all the negative items listed above, as well as any judgements you may have against you, but it does it with a process it calls the “Dispute Avalanche.”

Once you sign up for the service, you will be matched with a personal advisory team which will go through your options with you. Your team will be in contact with you throughout the process to keep you informed. You will also have access to an online account that has a timeline and progress report so you can see how things are progressing.

Credit Saint also offers credit education so you can continue to build good credit after your credit repair work is done. If you are interested in learning more call the Credit Saint phone number listed above or visit their site.

How Much Does Credit Saint Cost?

The basic service costs $79.99 per month. That being said, Credit Saint offers three tiers of service so you have options that fit your needs, so the price varies depending on your needs. Here is how the tier pricing breaks down:

  • Credit Polish: $79.99/month
  • Credit Remodel: $99.99/month
  • Clean Slate: $119.99/month

There is also an initial fee that gets the ball rolling, since Credit Saint won’t charge you the monthly fee until the first month’s work is already done. The initial fee for Credit Polish and Credit Remodel is $99, while for Clean Slate it is $195.

Like all legitimate credit repair programs, you can cancel at any time. If Credit Saint isn’t for you, Sky Blue Credit Repair offers similar pricing at $79 per month. How Long Does the Process Take?

Overall, the process takes as long as needed to remove as many negative items from your report as possible. Credit Saint works in 45-day cycles. Within those 45-days, it will pull your credit report, look for errors or unverifiable items, and then contest those with the credit bureaus. After 45 days, it will pull you credit report again and start the process all over.

Does Credit Saint Come with a Guarantee?

Yes. Credit Saint offers a 90-day money-back guarantee that is fairly unique to the credit repair world. If there have been no changes to your credit reports within 90 days, you will get your money back. Only a few credit repair companies offer a guarantee, but the few that do usually will offer your money back if you are not satisfied within a certain time period.

How Is the Customer Service?

Credit Saint is one of the only credit repair programs that offers a team of representatives to help you with your account. The online portal offers both a timeline of what is going on with your account, as well as a progress report, so you know what work has been done. It also offers a toll-free customer service option that let’s you get ahold of Credit Saint whenever you need them.

Credit Saint is a legitimate credit repair company. It has been in business since 2004 and has an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau. It also has 4.7 stars (out of 5) from ConsumerAffairs.

What Makes a Credit Repair Company Legit?

Many people hire a credit repair service thinking it will magically improve their credit score, but that’s not how it works. Many Credit Saint complaints include this thinking. Legitimate credit repair agencies have to work within the boundaries of the law. The Credit Repair Organizations Act (CROA) was passed in order to monitor credit repair companies. Laws were put in place to keep these companies in check.

Here are some ways to recognize if a company is legit based on CROA laws:

  • You can cancel at any time: The CROA requires that credit repair companies must give customers an easy way to cancel.
  • You don’t have to pay upfront: The law also says that a company can only charge you once that month’s work is completed. Many credit repair agencies charge an initial fee to get the work started, which is allowed under the law.
  • Does the company guarantee a credit score increase: It is against CROA law to guarantee a credit score increase. A company can promise a certain amount of work to be done, but it can’t promise your score will go up.

Legitimate credit repair is based on the work done, not the strength of your credit score. If you’ve hired a credit repair company and your score doesn’t increase, it doesn’t necessarily mean that company is a scam. If the company completed the work you agreed on — like sending dispute letters to the credit bureaus — then it has done everything it can within the law to help. Remember, you are paying the company to do the work. Whether it improves your score or not is out of the company’s control.

States Where Credit Saint Is Not Available

Credit Saint does not operate within Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, Ohio, Oregon, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, and South Carolina. Many of these states have strict laws around credit repair, which would explain why Credit Saint doesn’t operate in those states.

Credit Saint generally receives pretty strong reviews for its services, although there are always unhappy customers. Credit Saint complaints often center around how the service didn’t raise their credit score enough, which is never a guarantee. However, a majority of user comments online about Credit Saint are positive. Here’s a good overview of what people are saying about Credit Saint on both sides.

Positive reviews: Generally, positive reviews about Credit Saint focus on the customers who saw their credit scores increase, although there are a few that specifically rave about the customer service. Here are a few excerpts from reviews found online.

  • “Credit Saint and its associates were very easy to work with and I had an excellent experience with the process from start to finish.”
  • ” I literally was on the phone with a rep for over 2 hours doing over each item on my reports.”
  • “Credit Saint has been very helpful and they are very fast in sending out the challenges that are required to fix your credit.”
  • “Credit Saint showed changes in about a month. mind you, we were not finished in a month, but they did show the value for my dollar quickly.”

Negative reviews: Negative reviews for Credit Saint generally revolve around credit scores not being raised. Keep in mind, there is no guarantee that your credit score will go up with a credit repair service. Some reviews complain that the Credit Saint did not refund their money, but in many of those cases, the company explained why the money was not refunded. Here is a sample of some negative reviews of Credit Saint from online review sites.

  • “My credit score didn’t increase. Nothing was removed. Total bummer”
  • “They just keep your money 90 days. Then return your money back.”
  • “The website is kind of a pain. So they lost a star. It makes you verify info a bunch. I guess they cant be too careful, but it gets to be a thing after a while. But that’s the worst part.”
  • “Only thing they did was get one bankruptcy removed from one credit report. I feel they should pay me back since was not satisfied with there services.”

With so many credit repair options, it is hard to know which company is a good fit for you. Some credit repair agencies offer more extras, but those will usually cost you extra. Some companies offer the basics of credit repair for a fixed price. Credit Saint is actually a good mix of both.

Here are some ways to tell if Credit Saint could be the right fit for you:

  • You are looking for a variety of credit repair options
  • Affordability is important to you
  • You are interested in transparency from your credit repair program
  • Active communication is essential for you

Overall, Credit Saint offers solid credit repair work with a variety of options at a reasonable price, which makes it a good choice for anyone looking for a reliable option that offers choices.
