With fewer people signing up for credit cards, the credit card lenders are pulling out all the stops when it comes to offering credit card bonuses and perks with their credit cards. This means a whole new way of looking at credit cards for consumers, including offering 0% interest for the first year.
One of the biggest perks that credit card lenders are now offering is no interest on cards for up to 14 months. A 0% intro APR means that you can carry a balance on your credit card without being charged interest on that balance during the intro period.
No interest means that you can put a big balance on the credit card and have up to 14 months to pay it off without getting charged extra interest. Want to make a big-ticket purchase like a TV or new furniture? Put it on a 0% intro APR card and be able to pay it off slowly over time instead of all at once.
The only downside of the 0% intro APR credit cards is that they are usually only offered to those with good or excellent credit. If your credit is average or poor, you need to look into raising your credit score before you can apply for one of these cards. Find the best credit card for your credit score here.
You can contact the credit bureaus to contest any negative items on your credit reports, or you can work with one of the few trusted credit repair companies to help you.
