If you’ve been hoping to trade in your flip phone for a smartphone, you’re in luck. There are several affordable options out there for cost conscious consumers. Most major networks offer phones with amazing features at affordable prices if you sign up for a plan. There are also contract-free options for consumers who don’t want to make a two-year commitment.

Even better, if you’re willing to sign a contract, you won’t have to pay a dime for one of these phones. These phones are currently available for less than $99, or free from Verizon The phones run on the latest version of iOS, like all other iPhones. Apps, music and movies are available for download through iTunes.

The Nokia Lumina offers users an inexpensive option for maintaining continuity with every device they own for less than $100. AT&T allows users to buy this phone at this price without a contract. Users can use Windows apps, play games, and access documents and files across devices for the cost of the phone and a prepaid calling plan that starts around $60. The phone is powered by Windows, and there are lots of apps available for download. Better yet, there is a mobile version of Office that allows users to create, read and send documents and files across devices.

New phones are being released every day, and providers rotate special and deals on all their smartphones on a regular basis. Even phones that are in high demand can be purchased for a reasonable price if you keep your eye out for the next best deal.
